Job Description
- Assist in the movement and transportation of construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated work areas
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, removing obstacles, and ensuring the site is safe for work.
- Perform manual digging and excavation using shovels, picks, and other hand tools to prepare foundations, trenches, and other construction areas.
- Assist in the pouring, spreading, and levelling of concrete using wheelbarrows, rakes, and trowels.
- Help with the demolition of existing structures by using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery as directed.
- Provide support to skilled tradespeople by carrying out tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Clean and maintain construction sites by removing debris, sweeping floors, and organizing tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the construction site.
- Operate basic construction machinery and tools, such as jackhammers, power saws, and drills, after receiving proper training and authorization.
- Work effectively as part of a construction team, communicating with coworkers and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
